Nina Garbus are an art-rock ensemble from Atlanta, GA. Years after crossing paths in high school, the group was formed in 2019 by
Kristina Laygo, Peter Keevy, Calvin Howze, and
Roscoe Odom. Inspired by the angular guitar music of the late 2010s, the group released their debut album
The Wellness Center and enjoyed modest success across the college radio circuit. After a tour of the Southeast, Nina Garbus contributed to a split EP with their musical cohorts
Jr. Joy where they explored the more fantastical side of the progressive rock epic. During the process, Nina Garbus connected with drummer
William Gunnin to take over percussive duties allowing the group's sound to expand dramatically. After releasing their smash-hit Christmas song, "Snow in the Village", Nina Garbus began work in earnest on their next album,
Secrets of the Fifth Angel.
