Extra extra read all about it! Landlady are back and older than ever! Adam Schatz has spent the last four years touring constantly with Japanese Breakfast & Neko Case, all while twisting his own & others arms at interesting angles to work on the newest Landlady album Make Up / Lost Time. He's an eternal student of the gifts of piano architects like Allen Toussaint, Nina Simone, Randy Newman and Duke Ellington and this record is Schatz's newest attempt at making sense of the sounds he loves and the words he'd like to sing.  

When not on tour, his session work on saxophone, keys and sonic odds & ends has brought Schatz's contributions to recent records by Wild Pink, Miley Cyrus, Caroline Rose, Wye Oak, Matt Berninger, Y La Bamba, Tallest Man on Earth, Hand Habits, Loren Kramer and more. Schatz's essay writing (both serious and frivolous) has appeared in the NY Times, The Talkhouse and CREEM. He's produced records for Allegra Krieger, Sarah Goldstone, Renata Zeiguer and just set up a studio in his new home base of Southern Vermont to continue production adventures in the off-season. 

After creating the touring food database Tourfood.us, he has started bringing a bread knife on the road and refuses to apologize for it.
