Everyone wants to hear more from Glass-Beagle. Their debut EP, Spring Sword Chatter, released May 2024, showcases their uniquely mangled mix of country, folk, power pop, and rock 'n' roll.
The Chicago-based alt-country outfit is led by songwriter and guitarist, Nathan Zurawski, and powered by Michael Conway on pedal steel guitar, Calvin Horsley on bass, Jack Tekiela on guitar and Joe Torres on drums.
Their sophomore EP, Early Riser, was self-released on May 19, 2025. The lead single “Train Song” had radio placements on BBC Radio6 and on SiriusXM - Complete Control: The Yellow Button. The EP was recently recommended by Steven Hyden of Uproxx’s Indiecast.
With a blend of fuzzed out guitars, singing pedal steel guitar and Zurawski’s abstract yet personal lyrics, the band roots their sound in something both nostalgic and innovative.
Since the group started performing live in early 2024, they have quickly established themselves as a respectable act with a hot set. Supporting touring acts including, Florry, Good Looks, Lily Seabird, Dusk, and Easy Honey on their sold out Chicago stops. The group performed at Square Roots Fest in Lincoln Square, Chicago in July 2024 and Metro Chicago in December 2024 with Ike Reilly.
Most recently, the band released a joint single and music video with singer-songwriter, Samuel Aaron, which premiered in The Ugly Hug.
