Chaepter (pronounced ‘chapter’) is a Chicago-based band. Originally a solo outfit fronted by Central IL born & raised songwriter Chaepter Negro, Chaepter has shifted over the years into a fullband writing project, with drummer John Golden and bassist Ayethaw Tun joining the band in late 2023. In true DIY fashion, Chaepter is frequently on self-booked tours across the country, and have recently removed their music from spotify in protest of the company’s practices and war profiteering. The release of the project’s upcoming record this May will be their third full length album in just two years.
